Terms of Use
What this service is, what it is not, and who is responsible for the work. Using the site or calling the number means these terms apply.
Effective 15 September 2026
What this service is
Nova Plumbing Connect is a referral service. You call one number, describe a plumbing problem, and we connect you with an independent local plumbing professional who covers your community.
We are not a plumbing contractor. We do not hold a contractor licence, we do not employ plumbers, and we do not perform plumbing work of any kind. We are not a directory, a marketplace or an escrow service, and we are not a party to the agreement you reach with the contractor.
The contractors are independent
Every plumber we connect you with is an independent business. They are not our employees, partners, agents or joint venturers, and we do not direct or supervise their work.
That contractor alone is responsible for:
- Holding and maintaining the licences their work requires
- Carrying their own insurance
- Quoting, performing and warranting the work
- The conduct of their crew and the condition in which they leave your property
- Complying with the building and plumbing codes that apply where you live
Any contract, quote, invoice, guarantee or warranty is between you and that contractor. Claims about the work are made to them.
No warranty from us
We make no warranty about any contractor, their availability, their pricing, their timekeeping or the quality or outcome of their work. We do not guarantee that a plumber will be available in a particular place at a particular time, that any given problem can be solved, or that an estimate given on site will match what you expected. The referral is offered as is.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, injury, property damage, cost or delay arising out of work performed by an independent contractor, out of anything a contractor does or fails to do, or out of your use of this site or this service. That includes indirect, incidental and consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Pricing and payment
We do not set prices and we do not take payment. The contractor sets the price and gives it to you before work begins. Diagnostic or trip charges, and whether they apply, depend on the job, the distance and the time of day; the contractor will tell you before anyone is dispatched. Overnight, weekend and holiday response generally costs more than a weekday appointment. Payment is made to the contractor, on their terms.
Any figure on this site is general context, not a quote.
Emergencies and safety
This is not an emergency service and we are not a substitute for one. If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. For fire, flooding that threatens people, or any risk to life, call 911 first.
Emergency plumbing calls are prioritised over scheduled work, but no response time is promised or guaranteed.
What we need from you
By calling, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate, that you are entitled to authorise work at the property, and that you will give the contractor safe and lawful access to what they need to reach. You are responsible for the instructions you give a contractor once they are on site.
Calls and recording
Calls to our number are recorded. By calling, and by continuing after the recording notice, you consent to that recording. By giving us your number you agree that we and the assigned contractor may contact you about your job. Our Privacy Policy explains what is kept and for how long.
Content on this site
The service and area pages describe how plumbing tends to fail in particular kinds of Virginia buildings. That is general information, not advice about your specific property, and it is not a substitute for a licensed plumber looking at the thing in front of them. Codes, permit requirements and utility responsibilities vary by locality and change over time. Do not rely on this site to decide whether a repair is safe or lawful in your situation.

The text, photography, layout and design of this site belong to us or to our licensors. You are welcome to read it, print it and link to it. Republishing it, in whole or in substantial part, without permission is not permitted.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and the version published here at the time you call is the version that applies to that call.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes belong in the state or federal courts sitting in Virginia.
