Rolling Virginia countryside with houses along a ridge

Contact

One number, any hour

There is no contact form and no ticket queue. Plumbing problems are time-sensitive and voice is faster, so the way to reach us is the phone — 24 hours a day, every day, anywhere in Virginia.

Calls are answered around the clock and are recorded for quality and training.

Before you dial

What to have ready

Three pieces of information get a job routed correctly, and you almost certainly already know all three.

The street

Not the full address, just the street and town. It tells the person on the phone which contractor covers you and what the houses on your block are likely built on.

The symptom

What you can see or hear. Water on a floor, a drain that will not clear, no hot water, a meter that keeps turning with everything off.

Whether it is still moving

Is water still running, or have you shut it off? That single answer decides whether this is an emergency dispatch or a scheduled visit.

Triage

Emergency, or can it wait?

Call either way and describe it — but it helps to know how these get sorted, because after-hours response costs more.

Call now

  • Water you cannot stop, or cannot find the shutoff for
  • Sewage coming up through a floor drain, tub or shower
  • No water at all, particularly in freezing weather
  • A water heater leaking onto a floor
  • Any smell of gas — but leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility first

Usually fine until morning

  • One slow drain while the rest of the house runs normally
  • A dripping outdoor spigot or a running toilet
  • Low pressure at a single fixture
  • Planned work: a repipe, a heater replacement, a fixture install

Not sure which it is?

Call and describe it. We would rather talk you out of an after-hours rate than let a small leak run under a house for a week.

Scope

What we cannot help with

Saying no quickly is more useful to you than taking the call and wasting a day.

Septic tank pumping and septic inspections are a different trade, as is well drilling. Appliance repair — dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators — is not plumbing, though the supply and drain connections behind them are. Municipal responsibility usually stops at the water meter and the sewer main, so problems on the utility side of those belong to your locality rather than to a plumber.

We also cannot quote a price over the phone on behalf of a contractor. The plumber who takes the job sets the price and gives it to you before work begins.

What the number is not

It is not a sales line and not a dispatch desk for a plumbing company we own. We are a referral service: we connect you with an independent licensed professional and they perform and warrant the work.
